Before I started my journey as an MIS major I was an ICS major due to my interest and passion in programming. This initial interest came from multiple STEM classes I took in highschool that taught me basic coding. And since I was always interested in technology and the internet I decided that Computer Science was a possible path for me. Though after taking many ICS classes I came to realize that I wanted something more focused on business while still utilizing technology and software. Upon hearing this a friend recommended MIS as a possible major for me to look into. Which eventually led to me declaring MIS as my current major now.
With how reliant we are on technology and software in our current society, I believe that it is important to have extensive experience with the tools that we utilize. Since they are integral in succeeding in the current landscape of business.
